Meet Ellie

Hello there!

My name is Eleanor, my friends and family call me Ellie! I want to share my story with you so that you feel confident and comfortable when utilizing my services. I make every effort to ensure that every client is happy and therefore I want to give you a bit of background on who I am.

What makes me qualified to help you?

I have been practicing massage since 2007 and I am enjoying it every moment! I studied at Lincoln Technical Institute with a special focus on the Therapeutic Massage. I obtained my licenses through the Department of State Board of Massage Therapy of Pennsylvania along the way. I am also a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA), Fort Washington BNI, Society for Oncology Massage (S4OM) and National Association Professional Women (NAPW) and Women Referral Network (WRN). As you can see I love to network.

I have continued my education every step of the way and study under Dr. Ben Benjamin, PHDD, who specializes in common injuries. All of this has prepared me for the type of massage that helps with injuries or that helps to release built up tension and stress from the body. I have had the privilege to work at three well known spas in Philadelphia and a well established chiropractic office in the Ambler area before I started my full time private practice.

Types of Massage therapies I offer are:

  • Prenatal (this is my passion)
  • Oncology Massage
  • Sports Massage
  • Deep Tissue
  • Swedish
  • Warm Bamboo Fusion
  • Thai Herbal Ball Therapy
  • Thai on the Table
  • Hot Stones
  • Muscle Taping (for injuries)
  • Trigger Points

I operate my own successful private massage therapy office located in Blue Bell PA. I have helped clients with injuries and health conditions including but not limited to:

  • Carpal tunnel
  • Rotator cuff injuries
  • Sprained ankles
  • Tennis and golfers elbow
  • Low back Pain due to Herniated, bulging and degenerative disc issues
  • Knee Pain due to injuries/surgery
  • Pregnancy Aches and Pains
  • Fatigue due to diseases and illness

I know what it takes to help clients with these types of ailments and many more. Though my own experience and the concepts in the Benjamin System of Muscular Therapy, I provide a solution that works best for each individual person . I work to develop a treatment plan that helps my clients and ensures that they lead a happier, healthier, more comfortable life!

How did I get to this point?

I worked in the Hotel Hospitality Industry for 7 years prior to becoming a massage therapist. Work burnout hit me like a ton of bricks after my second son was born. With a growing family and interests further beyond what I was doing, recreating my life was unavoidable. Hence, I realigned my life’s purpose to a career that allowed me to nurture and support people who are stressed, in pain, pregnant or just want to relax. I wanted to give back, I wanted to do something that would benefit others. I found that my life purpose was in line with this and that the art of massage allows me to do all of these things!

Why?

Because I have been through it myself….I have given birth 3 times (2 boys & 1 girl) so, I know the joys and pains of the long and hard journey to motherhood. I had prenatal massages as a part of my health care regimen prior to becoming a massage therapist as well as during my massage career. Nurturing touch has helped me through the not so good days of pregnancy. Massage helps me to manage my good stressors, bad stressors and keeps me healthy so I can perform physically for longer periods of time.

I bring experience, compassion, humor, and active listening to each session. My intention is to help my clients feel better, manage their pain and stress so that they may enjoy their quality of life.

Where I’m from

I was born and raised on the tropical Caribbean Island; The Republic of Trinidad & Tobago also nicknamed “La Trinity”. You may even hear my Caribbean dialect when I am thrilled or enjoying a good laugh. I’m proud of my heritage so much that one of my pastimes is eating traditional Trini foods with my relatives while teaching my children about my culture and where they truly come from. I also love going to church on Saturdays, reading my nook, watching movies, gardening and baking…….oh yeah and I am an internet junkie.

I appreciate you taking the time to get to know who I am and what I’m all about. I will provide you with everything you need to enjoy the massage experience and benefit your life. I am here to help and I look forward to getting to know you and learning about your journey.

Please call for an appointment today. I can help you to achieve a healthy and comfortable life!

Yours in Health,
